LABORATORY IN BRIEF
During the last 10 years the following three scientific directions have been formed:

· analysis and diagnostics of complicated electrical control systems for industrial equipment;
· theoretical and experimental research on mechanical wave motions in solid, liquid, and gaseous;
· development of information technology for creation of linguistic computer dictionaries of new type.
The first direction was based mainly on contracts with Russian industrial enterprises and designing offices and now it is stopped for financial reason.
STAFF
In the beginning (1986) the Laboratory included 12 researchers. At present the senior scientific personnel including the head of the laboratory Prof., D.Sc. Anatoly I.Dobrolyubov and researcher with Ph.D. degree N.V.Morgun.
RESEARCH FIELDS
· The problem "Analysis and diagnostics of complicated electrical control systems for industrial equipment" included industrial projects on analysis, diagnostic, testing, computer aided design of different complex electrical control and power circuits of cosmic apparatus. Realization of developed methods took place at the different industrial companies in Russia (Moscow, Samara, Krasnoyarsk).
· The researches on "Mechanical wave motions" were developed in the field of the theory of traveling deformation waves in solid, liquid, and gaseous media. Here the new theoretical and practical results were developed and published by local and foreign editions, patents on inventions were taken, the ISF (1993), Grant of American Physical Society(1992), Grant of Belarusian Fundamental Research Foundation were received. The researches on traveling deformation waves help to get the new scientific results in the field of machinery (new wave mechanisms), biomechanics (the new nontraditional explanations of some biomechanical processes), geophysics (the new approaches to analysis of such global geophysical processes as tectonic motions of the Earth's crust, earthquake mechanism, large-scale ocean currents, superrotation of atmosphere, generation of Earth's magnetic field).
· The problems of information technology include development of the new patented method of building of linguistic dictionaries which are more compact and informative with comparison to existing dictionaries.
The project on creation of the new type unilingual English dictionary is being developed now.
TRAINING
7 Candidates of Sciences (Ph.D.) and 1 Doctor of Sciences have graduated from the Laboratory. At present there are two post-graduate students. During the last 10 years, 5 scientific books, 30 articles and 7 patents on inventions in mechanics, geophysics and linguistic were published.
