The State scientific organization "United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus" (UIIP NASB) was organized in 2002 after reconstruction of the Scientific-Research Association "Cybernetics", the State Scientific organization "Institute of Engineering Cybernetics" and the State Scientific Organization "Automation Systems".

UIIP has the staff of PhD and DSc scientists and highly qualified and skilled professional systems programmers with great experience in developing complicated software-hardware systems.

The staff of the institute (on 01.06.2010) is 443 persons including 173 research workers:1 - Akademician, 1 Corresponding member of Belarussian Academy of Sciences, 16 scientists with Dsc degree and 70 - with PhD degree.

October 27-29, 2010 the United Institute of Informatics Problems of NASB will organizethe Sixth International conference “Information technologies in industry”( ITI).

16-17 November, 2010 the Seventh International conference on Computer-Aided Design of Discrete Devices (CAD DD’2010) will take place in the United Institute of Informatics Problems of NASB.

In November 2010 within the frames of the 12th International specialized conference “Prospective technologies and systems: informatics, telecommunication, security” (PTS’ 2010) the Ninth International conference “Development of informatization and state system of scientific and technical information” DISTI’10 will be held.
